About CRECN

The Community Relations Emergency Communication Network (CRECN) is one of connectNetwork's email communication groups to be used as a community-building tool for nonprofit organizations, civic leaders, volunteers, anyone working to maintain a healthy and secure quality of life for all citizens in metro Richmond.

CRECN is operated by the Community Relations Committee. The Committee is part of the Partner Services activity in the Red Cross Chapter Disaster Management Team and also works in close collaboration with the International Services Department. The committee encourages representation from all diverse communities and seeks to build and maintain an effective communications network and opportunity for promoting dialogue and understanding around disaster prevention, preparedness and response.

connectNetwork, and its marquee communications and capacity-building enterprise, connectRichmond (connectrichmond.org) manage these email communication groups for the good of the community. To join the connectRichmond primary group, go to www.connectrichmond.org, select "Email Group" in the menu, and click "Join the primary email group." For more information about connectRichmond, review any of the web pages listed under "About" in the menu.

Using CRECN
To post a message to all the list members, send email to crecn@connectnetwork.org.

You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.

Subscribing to CRECN

Subscribe to CRECN by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator.

    You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.

    If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options.
