Welcome to the seniorresources@connectnetwork.org! This list is for individuals and agencies involved with serving the needs of senior citizens and their caregivers in Central Virginia. We envision Senior Resources becoming a forum of information and communication that will facilitate awareness, discussion and collaboration on programs, funding, events, conferences, employment opportunities and research on issues affecting senior citizens and their caregivers. Senior Resources was initiated by Senior Connections, The Capital Area Agency on Aging. Senior Connections is a private nonprofit organization serving older adults and their caregivers in Planning District 15 which includes, the city of Richmond, and the counties of Charles City, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent and Powhatan. The list moderators are: Marilyn Branch-Mitchell and Harris Spindle from Senior Connections, The Capital Area Agency on Aging. The Senior Resources is one of the Connect Network’s community list serves, an email communication list to be used as a community building tool for nonprofit organizations, civic leaders, volunteers, or anyone working to maintain the quality of life for citizens in metro Richmond and beyond. The Connect Network, and its marquee communications and capacity-building enterprise, Connect Richmond (www.connectrichmond.org), manages these lists for the good of the community. To join the Connect Richmond list, go to www.connectrichmond.org and click on join the email list. For more information about Connect Richmond, click on “about us." Posting a message is like sending a regular email. Address your mail to: seniorresources@connectnetwork.org Use all lowercase letters in the address. Include a descriptive subject header with your message. This tells recipients that your message is a legitimate post and provides an immediate sense of its interest to him or her. Include contact information so that interested parties may contact you directly. Some notes on "rules for the list": Attachments are prohibited. Selling, advertising or fundraising is prohibited. You may promote events that benefit the nonprofit community. Questions? Using Seniorresources
To post a message to all the list members, send email to seniorresources@connectnetwork.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Seniorresources
Subscribe to Seniorresources by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
