Virginia's first Advance Directives Day is April 18th
Advance Directives Day is an initiative of the health care and legal
communities of Virginia designed to raise public awareness of the need to
plan ahead for health care decisions related to end of life care and
medical decision-making whenever individuals are unable to speak for
themselves and to encourage the specific use of Advance Directives (living
wills and designation of a health care agent) to communicate these
important health care decisions.
Various events and programs will be offered throughout the state, all of
which are listed on the web page dedicated to this event:

The Advance Directives Day web page also contains free forms (including a
large print form), and educational information (including links for
organizations that offer forms for people in other states).
