VOLUNTEERS DELIVER “FRIENDLY BASKETS OF CHEER” AND VISIT WITH
ISOLATED ELDERS DURING HOLIDAY WEEK
ElderFriends, a program of Family Lifeline will partner with the
Department of Gerontology, VCU to collect, assemble and deliver
Friendly Baskets of Cheer and spend some time visiting with an
isolated elder friend Christmas week (December 18th & 20th).
ElderFriends is a volunteer based, friendly visitation program, which
matches community volunteers with isolated elders for friendship and
socialization on an “ongoing” basis. Many seniors live alone
without much support from family and friends. This event offers a
“one-time” volunteer opportunity for community members who wish to
volunteer and get involved. Participate in sharing a basket of
goodies and a visit an isolated elder- Make your own holiday more
meaningful and memorable- Call today to sign up for a "Friendly
Basket of Cheer" or Volunteer!

NOTE: Elder participants must: Live Alone, Be Age 60+, and Welcome a
