Do you love working with Elders and Volunteers?

ElderFriends is a volunteer-based outreach program that supports
friendly visitation for community dwelling elders in the greater
Richmond area.  We are looking for an Advocate Coordinator to assist the
program director in managing the ElderFriends program. This is a
Part-time, hourly position. Pay range is $8-$10/hr.  

 

Duties Include:

Administrative Support Duties

Assist in recruiting volunteer and elder participants

Maintain communications with collaborating organizations and community
services

Assist in identifying new elder referral network agents        

Supporting Adopt a Grandparent matches including telephone support for
elder and volunteer participants

Assist in information gathering processes of participants

Assist Director in data collection, tracking and reporting from program
evaluation processes which include train survey, quarterly reports,
anonymous elder survey, and demographic reports

Assist in coordination of volunteer trainings; Set up and attend
information sessions; Assist in coordinating special events

 

Qualifications:

This position requires demonstrated proficiency in general office
administrative duties and program coordination.  Experience using
Microsoft Word and Internet navigation is required.  Experience working
with frail elders, volunteers and with database software is preferred.
Since an essential portion of the Coordinators time is serving as a
representative of ElderFriends, this position requires high proficiency
in interpersonal communications skills.  ElderFriends is looking for an
individual who is energetic, gracious and kind.  High School diploma or
equivalent required; college degree preferred.
